1. General
Present in both Belgium and The Netherlands, Tein Telecom builds high-value technical tailor made solutions in different areas such as integrated digital video solutions based on IP Networks, complex voice solutions and networking solutions. With a technical staff of around 100 persons, we guarantee a flexible and innovative environment within a solid professional organisation.
In constant search of lasting competitive advantages, Tein Telecom has decided to create its own R&D department, developing an advanced management system for digital video surveillance infrastructure: SightvisionTM.
The position offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of an innovative software development at an early stage, in a fast growing market.
2. Responsibilities
2.1. Business oriented R&D
- Creation of the global development conditions, in agreement with the General Management.
- Implementation of a specific development methodology (agile SCRUM).
- Make sure that the management has a good idea on the development and the structure of the code in order to take relevant decisions (budget, time to market, priorities,...).
- Reinforce the interface between R&D and Product Management, Account Management, MarCom and Services.
2.2. Software Development
- Final responsibility of the video software solutions on time, on budget and with the functionalities in line with the requirements.

2.3. Quality of software product
- Creation and implementation of overall quality process (documentation, testing, training).
- Deliver software with the requested quality.
3. The position's requirements
3.1. Education & Knowledge
- Civil engineer or equivalent by experience.
3.2. Work Experience
- Knowledge of management skills and methods.
- Preferably 8 to 10 years professional experience first as a developer, afterwards as a manager.
3.3. Required Skills
- Business driven with interest in process management.
- Good communicator.
- Strong architectural background in a similar software development environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
- Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
