VCA is a global certification approach for a safety management system. This means that the contractor must prove his or her compliance with the VCA criteria, presented in the form of a questionnaire, during audits carried out by one or more auditors from an accredited certification body.
The VCA certification allows Tein Telecom to improve on safety aspects during projects. Even if Safety, Health and Environment are of course of major importance for all projects, as well as internally within the company, we consider that they are of extra value within our major projects, which involve subcontractors and for which installation/maintenance must take place outside of standard technical rooms and office environments.
Tein Telecom went recently through the whole process and did meet all criteria.
Final certication was delivered on December 21st.
