In order to reinforce our position IT team, we are currently looking for an IT engineer.

2. Responsibilities

The IT Engineer is responsible for the IT support of our internal business clients related to IT equipment and application trough LAN or VPN connections - both for Brussels and Amsterdam offices.
It also covers the supply, management and support of the whole network and server infrastructure within the company (Brussels and Amsterdam).
The IT Engineer works in a team of 2 engineers and reports directly to the Operations and Services Director.

Your responsibility includes the following tasks :

2.1. Internal IT support

  • IT support from 8am to 5pm on all HW and SW set at the disposal of Tein Telecom employees to allow them to perform their job. 
  • Best effort support of non professional HW and SW of the employees of Tein Telecom.
  • Manage orders of IT equipment for internal use.
  • Assist in the selection, implementation and support of new SW applications for internal usage such as CRM, ERP, Trouble ticketing tools.

2.2. Network Management

  • Installation of the servers (HW and SW - Vmware environment) and the network infrastructure of the company.
  • Daily management and support of this infrastructure.
  • Manage the security aspects to ensure a safe environment.
  • Keep up to date the needed documentation for trouble shooting.

2.3. Project based activities

  • In project phase, works with a team of engineers to deploy the new solution required by the business and/or by the evolution of the IT environment.

2.4. Administration & Reporting

  • Daily reporting of the handled tickets.
  • Weekly reporting to the manager: 
    • Realization done during the week
    • Foreseen activities for next week
    • Preventive maintenance performed
    • Project evolution

3. The position's requirements

3.1. Education & Background

  • Industrial Engineer in ICT.
  • First working experience in a Business Support position or hands-on experience in the ICT. 
  • Knowledge of IT equipment and following applications: 
    • MS Windows XP and 7 Professional / MS Windows 2003 and 2008 server
    • MS office, Visio, Project, Adobe acrobat
    • MS Exchange and Active directory
  • Basic Network knowledge (DHCP, DNS, 802.1x)
  • Symantec NETBackup, Exchange, VMware expertise is an added value

Project Engineer (Amstelveen)

2. Responsibilities

You will install and maintain the different products and solutions which our company implements for major customers.
As first project , you will manage, install, commission and maintain an AIS (Automatic Identification System) solution for the maritime traffic, covering all Netherlands. (http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/nl/default.aspx)

You will very quickly take on board the new technologies which we integrate in our global solution and implement large-scale projects. As Project engineer, you will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager.

You report to the Operations Manager.

2.1. Project Based

  • Take full technical responsibility for a project in close collaboration with the Project Manager and in respect of the project specifications.
    • Participate in Virtual Project Team (VPT) for the designing and engineering of the solution, for proof of concept and demos.
    • Prepare future installations in a lab environment and execute tests before delivery.
    • Prepare and lead the set-up and the realization of the customer's Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
    • Provide all necessary documentation such as studies, detailed technical designs and As Built documents as required within the scope of the project.
    • Install and commission the solution at the customer site.
    • Provide User and Administrator training sessions.
    • Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during project implementation.
  • In collaboration with the Pre-Sales department, participate in test setups required for demos, expositions and/ or product validations.

2.1. Maintenance

  • Execute first line corrective maintenance 24H/7D on different products and technologies according to the competence matrix of the company and this during an agreed period following project acceptance (Hand over phase to maintenance services).
  • Execute second line maintenance after handover to the Customer Services team.
  • Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during maintenance activities.
  • Use the available spares during interventions, return defects to the repair center following the correct internal rules of the company and escalate any issue to manager.
  • Update site documentation after intervention (software release, installed base,..).

2.1. Administration

  • Report about daily activities to manager in order to allow the company to report
    • to the customer about problem resolution.
    • the Project Manager about project costs and evolution.
    • Management about Quality of the Service, risks, profitability of projects.

3. Position's requirements

3.1. Education, Knowledge & Work Experience

  • HTS with specialisation in telecommunications or ICT.
  • Global knowledge of telecommunications/ICT solutions, as implemented by Tein Telecom.
  • 3 years professional experience in telecommunications/ ICT.
  • Good knowledge of servers environment, Virtualization (VM Ware), Windows servers 2003 and 2008

3.2. Required skills

Customer Services Engineer

2. Responsibilities

You will install, commission and maintain the different products and solutions which our company implements for major customers. You will very quickly take on board new technologies which we integrate in our global solution and participate in the implementation of specific projects.
The Customer Services Engineer reports to the Customer Services Manager.

2.1. Project Based:

  • Implementation of projects: Prepare future installations in lab environment and ensure Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before installation.

    1. Install and commission the solution at the customer site.
    2. Provide user and Administrator training sessions.
    3. Ensure site acceptance tests (SAT) signed by the customer for approval.
    4. Act as PM for “small” projects if no dedicated PM is defined.
    5. Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during project implementation.
    6. Document the installation (As-built).
  • Perform upgrades on existing installations.
  • Participate in Virtual Project Team (VPT) for project implementation, demo, proof of concept.

2.2. Maintenance

  • Execute first and second line corrective maintenance following acceptance or handover 24H/7D in the Benelux on different products / technologies.
  • Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up all issues reported until resolution.
  • Carry out  preventive visits based on a predefined schedule following maintenance contracts.
  • Input on spare management.
  • Update site documentation after intervention (software release, installed base…).
  • Perform updates/ MAC on existing installations.

2.3. Administration

  • Report about daily activities to manager in order to allow the company to:

    1. Report to customer about problem resolution.
    2. Report to PM about project costs and evolution.
    3. Report to the management about Quality of the Service, risks, profitability of projects.
  • Keep manager and help desk aware of all activities in order to allow better time management of the service team.
  • Work in close collaboration with the helpdesk and team members in order to guarantee ticket follow up and reporting.

Customer Services Manager Belgium

1. General

As Customer Services Manager within the Operations department of Tein Telecom SA/NV, you will manage a team of Customer Service Engineers and guaranty the profitability of all ongoing maintenance contracts, respect the SLA conditions and maintain customer satisfaction. You will organize your activities following the ITIL principles and the company processes in place.
The Customer Service Manager reports to the Operations Manager.

2. Responsibilities

2.1. SLA management

  • Manage the maintenance contracts of the company to guarantee their profitability.
  • Support the Sales Team during contract negotiation.
  • Validate contract conditions offered to customer.
  • Supervise and report about the respect of our SLA (Service Level Agreement) towards customer and Operations Manager.
  • Participate at customer meeting to present and defend maintenance related contract performances
  • Supervise third line maintenance contracts with suppliers and EOS (End of Support) announcement to be able to understand the impact on our contracts and take the appropriate actions towards our customer.

2.2. Operational Management

  • Take full responsibility for all maintenance related topics and activities after project acceptance by Project Team
  • Make sure hand over to Customer Services Team is done correctly by the Project Team.
  • Incident management: Manage the daily follow up of the customer tickets and the reporting towards customer and  Operations Manager.
  • Issue management: install and follow up action plans to manage issues, report internally and towards customers and suppliers. Manage subcontractors maintenance related activities and supervise their performances.
  • Guarantee that all maintenance contract conditions are respected by both the customer and Tein Telecom : supervise activities to guarantee SLA including help desk activities, spare availability and reporting.
  • Participate in recurrent ‘project planning’ meetings and collaborate closely with the project managers in order to understand the resource demands during project execution , be aware of the ongoing projects and prepare for future maintenance activities after project acceptance.
  • Guarantee that all necessary reporting information is available in order to:
    - Report customers about status on project evolution/problem resolution and preservation of the SLA conditions. 
    - Report the Operations manager about Quality of the Service and maintenance agreements.
  • Guarantee that all work is in line with the VCA policy defined within the organization to ensure that security of Human Capital in the field.

2.3. Functional management

  • Ensure the productivity and efficiency of the Customer Service Engineers.
  • Make sure that the team works “Customer minded” in line with the contract obligations.
  • Detect training needs, organize and follow up the outcome in order to maintain the level of competence for today’s and future activities.
  • Functional management of holiday’s, sickness, etc. of customer support engineers.

2.4. Customer Relations

Act as a point of contact for the customer during maintenance life cycle:

  • Responsible for client satisfaction concerning maintenance activities of the Customer Service Team.
  • Visit sites and customers, during ACT meetings or maintenance activities in order to:
    - Be identified by the customer as an escalation point for problems and issues around maintenance topics.
    - Improve customer relations.

3. The position’s requirements

3.1. Education & knowledge

  • Industrial engineer in telecommunications or ICT, or equivalent by experience.
  • Global knowledge of telecommunications/ ICT solutions, as implemented by Tein Telecom.

3.2. Work experience

  • 5 years professional experience in telecommunications/ ICT and experienced in people/ project management/ITIL management.

3.3. Required Skills

Pre-sales Consultant

For each project the Pre-Sales Consultant has an end to end responsibility in the engineering of the solution as well as in the generation of the offer. He takes the lead of the bid team, which is composed of Tein technical specialists as well as external parties whenever deemed necessary.
The Pre-sales Consultant also has a crucial role towards specific strategic customers. Through a good understanding of the business of those customers, as well as an understanding of technological evolutions, the Pre-sales consultant shall advise the customer on the future evolution of his solution.
The position is based in Brussels;  interactions – including meetings – with colleagues based in Amstelveen ( Netherlands) might occasionally be required.

As a result of a continuous increase of business  opportunities, we are looking to complement our pre-sales team with an additional Pre-sales Consultants, for the following domains :

- The Video surveillance and Physical security domain;
- Trading Voice, voice recording and command & control solutions.

2. Responsibilities

The primary task of a Pre-Sales Consultant is to collect and analyze the requirements of the customer,  engineer a technical solution, and calculate the costs thereof. The result of these processes is the delivery of an innovative and competitive solution for the client. The position covers all the aspect related to the preparation of an offer, including internal coordination with account managers and technology specialists, and external coordination with vendors and partners.
The Pre-Sales Consultant teams up with a group of engineers within the Commercial Division. He takes the lead of the bid team, and has end responsibility for delivering the offer corresponding to the customers needs and budget, within the imposed timing.
You will report to the Pre-Sales Unit Manager.

Your responsibility includes the following tasks :

  • Analysis of the customer requirements ; detection and documentation of the potential risks related to the project.
  • Engineering the solution with regard to the necessary products – hardware and  software -and resources; calculation of parts and labor.
  • Applying internal processes during offer phase in view of risk management.
  • Act as project leader in the offer phase; integrate all the solution blocks in the offer.
  • Coordinate the necessary actions with the Sales Assistant in order to produce a complete and well rounded offer.
  • Provide technical support to the Key Account Managers during solution positioning and proposal negotiation.

3. Position's requirements

3.1. Education & knowledge

  • Civil or Industrial Engineer;
  • Expertise in at least one of the following technologies : 
    1. Pre-sales Consultant, with a focus on the Video surveillance and Physical security domain : digital video, physical security, IP networks, wireless networking.
    2. Pre-sales Consultant, with a focus on Trading Voice, voice recording and command & control solutions : Voice solutions, Voice recording, Voip.

3.2. Work experience

  • Technical/Commercial work experience.
  • Several years relevant experience with major accounts for the delivery of customized solutions.
  • Experience with Government projects is an asset.

3.3. Required Skills

  • Mother tongue Dutch or French, fluent in both languages is an asset; fluent in English.
  • Excellent contact in face-to-face meetings with customers.
  • Writing skills : ability to give a logical structure to a text, ability to make a solution description attractive from the customer's point of view.
